Ghost Photograph 4

Real or Fake? Maybe the scene takes place in a mall, in a bar, or in a restaurant. There's music in the background (background music), like in a party. It really takes place in a magazine. A man creates a fake photo on a computer, and a woman wants to know why ( elle veut savoir pourquoi ). Another man comes. He owns the magazine. They talk about a photo, the woman thinks it's a fake. The picture is supposed to be very scary. This was the f irst photo on the magazine, and it's real. On the photo, behind the boy, there's a ghost. It all started 3 years ago. to take place= se dérouler a mall= un centre commercial background music= de la musique de fond scary music, or -> ominous, suspenseful, stressful music. to own= détenir/appartenir (she owns it= ça lui appartient ) Warm Up N64 / 360 / ... three sixty a villain = un méchant to rule =) régner to come out / to be released = sortir (film, livre, etc.) Pivotal = central, essentiel, significatif...

Reading the Text Today we checked out (to verify) the text more carefully ( plus attentivement ). We found everything we said last time was right.  We also understood the construction of the text, its outline ( son plan ): Context: Matthew Summers explains where and when he took the photo. Photo & Reaction: M.S. explains his reaction when he noticed the ghost. Opinion: M.S. explains what he believes or not. He also talked with his girlfriend.

Ghost Photograph 2

Is It Really A Ghost? Today we scanned a text. Here's what we remembered : - the name of the man who took the picture is Matthew Summers. - on the right of the text, we could see comments on the     publication, they said the photo was a fake. - the comments are saying that the ghost is a mistake ( erreur ),     because of the poor quality of the camera ( not enough ( pas assez    de ) pixels). - Another comment said it had been photoshopped - When he zoomed on the photo, he could see a face - Matthew Summers asked his girlfriend for advice. - he was 17 years old . he couldn't believe it to take / took / taken   -> prendre

Ghost Photograph 1

Look Behind You Today we studied a picture together. At first glance ( au premier regard ), we could see a child crying. We imagined that the little girl was crying because she had lost her teddy bear, or her parents, or maybe just because she was tired.  Next to her, there were other people. It could be a party. Then we spotted (to spot, remarquer ) a creepy face at the bottom of the photograph. We said it could be a ghost, and maybe the little girl was really crying because of that ghost. creepy = strange+scary a plush, a blanky = a teddy bear a photograph = the object a photographer = the person photography = the art at the bottom, at the top = en dessous, au dessus scary, scared = effrayant(e), effrayé(e)
