Lennie thinks she's "purty" (=pretty), and "admires" her. Then George scolds Lennie (il le gronde), and grabs him by the ear, and calls her a "rattrap." George tries to warn Lennie ; indeed, he believes that if Lennie lie Curley's wife too much, he might have problems with Curley. *Lennie's answer is : "I never done nothing." In the end, Lennie says he wants to leave this place: "this ain't no good place," "I wanna get outta here," Let's go George [...], it's mean here."
